Mushrooms Pulsing After the Rain

These mushrooms had popped up after a night of intense rain, a dense little cluster rising out of the grass and plants. They were attracting flies, and I loved the contrast of their warm brown caps against all that green.

Mushrooms in general have such a fascinating story. What we see is only the fruiting body of a fungus already living in the soil, then the right conditions bring this whole cluster to the surface.

I enjoyed using the video to make them pulsate and give life to them. It turned this quiet little patch of ground into something that feels active and breathing, a whole hidden cycle suddenly visible.
